Card Sizing
Standard, Japanese, and oversized dimensions, and why the wrong sleeve size damages a card.

Two sizes cover nearly everything. Standard is 66 × 91 mm and takes Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, One Piece, Lorcana and Riftbound. Japanese is 62 × 89 mm and takes Yu-Gi-Oh! and most small-format imports.
A Standard sleeve on a Japanese card leaves the card free to slide, and the corners take the impact every time the deck is squared. A Japanese sleeve on a Standard card will not seat at all without forcing the corners.

Oversized cards — jumbo promos, VMAX and box toppers — need their own sleeves and their own storage. Do not file them in a standard binder page; the overhang is exactly where a crease starts.
Thickness matters as much as footprint. Vintage stock is measurably thicker than modern, so a holder that fits a current card may need a tier up for a Base Set equivalent. Measure, then buy.
